At Pilates Physiotherapy Cork our mission is to empower people with knowledge and skills to move well, feel well and live well.

Understanding what is important to you, your issues, your concerns, your motivations and your goals, this is what is important to us. This is our style of Physiotherapy and our work centres around this.

We understand everyone is unique. We understand everyone has different issues, concerns, restrictions, abilities and interests.

By taking the time to understand you, your goals, your likes (and dislikes), we can help you to navigate your own path to success; with all the treatment, knowledge and tools you may need for that journey.

During an episode of back or spinal pain many things can be affected, including the way we move, the way we feel about our spine and the way we engage in day to day activities.   If back pain persists it may become associated with reduced activity and fitness levels, lower mood and poorer sleep patterns, all of which may further exacerbate the pain experienced.

Back or spinal pain is extremely common. In most cases the causes are not serious, despite the levels of pain experienced. Often the amount of pain experienced does not correlate with actual physical ‘damage’ or harm.

Successful long-term management of back or spinal pain requires us to understand the individual and their pain pattern better and to look at what factors may be influencing symptoms.  It’s important then to re- build confidence in ability and return to activities that individuals find important and meaningful.

We have expert Chartered Physiotherapists in the clinic who have many years experience working with pain conditions. We will help to create an individual programme with you, for you and to give you the tools you need to achieve your long term goals.

At Pilates Physiotherapy Cork our Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists are here for you if you have any aches or pains; or muscle, bone or sports injuries.

We are experts in assessing, diagnosing and helping you to manage your injury or issues.  Following a thorough initial consultation, we will provide you with practical advice based on up to date research, to help you manage your rehab and recovery whatever your goals are.

We can provide manual hands-on therapy, in conjunction with an individualised exercise programme, to help you to move, decrease pain and help you to return to full function and performance.
