Qualified

Physiotherapy BSc, Brighton University (2000)

Experience

  • 7 years in NHS University Hospitals and Primary Care
  • Private Practice experience in the UK and Ireland
  • Established ‘Pilates Physiotherapy Cork’ in 2009

Jo relocated to the People’s Republic of Cork from England in 2007.

Prior to relocating Jo’s clinical experience in the UK sparked her passion for back pain. The disparity between people’s beliefs and the evidence base in back pain fascinated Jo and ignited her drive to make a difference.

In 2009, Jo established ‘Pilates Physio Cork’ to follow her passion for evidenced informed treatment and exercise based rehabilitation. Over the years Jo’s areas of specialist interest have extended to include pelvic health, pregnancy and postnatal care.

Jo is a mother of three young children, including energetic twin boys, so she has a full appreciation of the real challenges of how busy our day to day lives can be. Jo is passionate about delivering high standards of evidence based care, in a friendly, supportive environment.
