CLASS SCHEDULE

We require new clients to our clinic to attend an Initial Physiotherapy Assessment prior to joining our classes (except for mums-to-be who are joining an ante-natal class).

As Chartered Physiotherapists, it is essential that we have a full understanding of our clients needs and requirements. As a result, we require all new clients, including those attending our classes, to attend an Initial Physio Assessment first.

Your Initial Physio Assessment allows us to fully understand your individual physical condition, history and abilities. During the session we will identify your needs and help to set your goals. You will get advice and recommendations on the most appropriate class or intervention for you.

If you are recommended to join a class, your class physio will review your notes in advance and use the information to monitor your progress and modify your exercises accordingly. This ensures you can progress safely and get the most benefit from your class.

Initial Physio Assessments cost €90 for a one-hour assessment and qualify under most health insurance schemes.

At Pilates Physiotherapy Cork our classes are led by Chartered Physiotherapists who plan and instruct classes based on the needs and goals of each class participant. 

How do we do this? Everyone who attends our classes is either an existing patient or has attended an Initial Physiotherapy Assessment. From the date of your first appointment with us, we keep a full Physiotherapy record of each treatment and class that you attend. 

In advance of each block of classes, our class Physiotherapists review the notes of each class participant and based on this information, they adapt exercises and plan exercise sequences. During each class, our Physiotherapists monitor every participant and will tailor instructions for individuals where necessary. We also keep our class numbers small, which allows us to give each class participants the attention they need. 

When you join a class at Pilates Physiotherapy Cork, you can be assured that all the exercises you do are safe and appropriate for you. Because classes are tailored to your individual needs, you can also be certain that you have the best chance of achieving your goals, whether that’s recovering from injury or improving your physical ability.
