As physiotherapists we regularly see soft tissue injuries that are the result of what we call overload. This means the tissues have been put under somewhat more stress than they are able for at the time – usually by doing too much, too soon. The FITT (PP) Principle can help anyone, doing any level of exercise, to avoid this overload and to progress their exercise efficently, without the interruption of injuries!
