Fiona O'Connor
Having graduated from the University College of Dublin in 2005, Fiona began her clinical experience in the Cork University Hospital.By 2007 Fiona had developed a specialist interest in both Pilates rehabilitation and Women’s Health Physiotherapy. She began her Pilates training with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute and to date has completed both Mat-Work and Ante-Natal / Post-Natal Pilates training courses.
With her experience in Women’s Health Physiotherapy, Fiona became involved in the development and provision of Physiotherapy Services in the Cork University Maternity Hospital. In 2009 Fiona then became a Senior Physiotherapist in Women’s Health and is currently undertaking Post-Graduate training in the area of Continence at the University of Bradford, England.
Fiona works in ‘Pilates Physiotherapy Cork’ as the Clinical Specialist in Women’s’ Health. Fiona works with all of our Ante-Natal and Post-Natal population, offering both one-to-one sessions and classes. Fiona specialises in treating Ante-natal and Post-natal pelvic girdle pain, diastasis of the rectus abdominus muscle, continence and prolapse problems.
